I love quick and easy party foods! Especially when it’s really simple to make them look decadent and well decorated without a lot of effort. Easy marshmallow Pops recipe is a clear winner! I put together this REALLY basic post to inspire you to greater creative fun ideas.  This is an endlessly fun foodie craft kids will love. Get into the spirit of your party and have a blast!

I made these fun marshmallow pops for my family and everyone enjoyed them. Kids and grownup too! Make these yummy treats into party game rewards, party activities(assembly line) and party favors.  All you need is a cellophane baggy to wrap the pops in and they can go home with your guests.

UPDATE July 3, 2018: We made them again for the Fourth of July. Aren’t these cute? I found REALLY good candy melts at Hobby Lobby. FYI I like their brand better than Wiltons.

These candy melts were very easy to work with. Just FOLLOW the directions on EACH candy melt bag exactly and they work like a dream. We used candy melts instead of milk chocolate for pops this time and decorated them with sprinkles for fun. And the candy melts easily swirled with a toothpick for more variety.

We used a block of floral foam the first time we made these in the S’mores theme. This time I wanted a different look for our Fourth of July centerpiece. So a straight sided mason jar with tissue paper and styrofoam balls supported the skewers. I also found glitter stars to Jazz it up. Did I mention how happy I am Hobby Lobby moved into our town?

Easy Marshmallow Pops Recipe Notes:

To make these easy pops as S’mores you will need:

• wooden skewers (I used 12 inch skewers that are meant for kabobs).
• White chocolate and milk chocolate are my melting ingredients that I incorporated.
• You can buy whatever toppings you would like.
•  Use candy or cookie toppings that are easy to crush into small pieces and crumbs. I had a little bit of trouble with the bigger chunks slowly sliding off my marshmallow pop. Sprinkles would work just watch so they don’t drown in your chocolate base.
• I bought a square of green floral foam to stick my marshmallow pop skewers in while they dried. If you don’t want to make your base out of foam use a straight sided vase that will support the long skewers.

TIP: Don’t let the pops touch while they harden or they will make messes of themselves. Once hardened these are very durable.

For Camping or Outdoorsy summer fun make a batch of  S’more pops like this:

• Dip a marshmallow on a stick in melted milk chocolate and roll it around on crushed graham cracker crumbs.
• This way you can easily incorporate s’mores into an outdoor theme without actually needing to light a campfire!
• This is easy to set up outdoors on a picnic table. You just need a burner to melt your chocolate.

Suggestions for Planning a Themed Party:

• Take that block of foam and go for it! Get your hot glue gun out and Wrap the foam block in party wrap, stick toys or silk flowers in it along with your pops.
• Look for fun skewers!
• Use candy and toppings in colors that work with your theme.
• Set up an assembly line on a low table and let kids choose their own party toppings.
• Use either white or dark chocolate as a base.

My nieces came over to help me make these fun Marshmallow pops. Eight and four years old, they had a blast choosing their own toppings and rolling the marshmallow pops into the different toppings. These make a great food craft for a kids party, holiday fun or VBS program!

S’Mores Marshmallow Pops food Craft:

• Melt both of the chocolates and set them aside in bowls.
• Dip the end of the skewers in the white chocolate and place a marshmallow on top.
• Put the marshmallow in the green foam until the white chocolate is dry and holding the marshmallow firmly in place.
• Once the marshmallow is dried onto the stick, simply dip it into the melted chocolate mixtures and roll them into the crushed candy.
• Tips:
• Make sure you don’t wait too long to roll the marshmallows in the chocolate, as it cools it gets dry fast.
• If the candy isn’t sticking to the marshmallow, sprinkle it onto the marshmallow using your fingers.
• Place them back into the green foam and give them 10 minutes to completely dry and to allow the chocolate to harden.
