A traditional Reuben sandwich is made with Rye bread, corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing, and swiss cheese We added some brown mustard and diced pepperonchinis because we love the added spice

Begin by heating the corned beef and sauerkraut For a single sandwich you will need approximately 1/4 Cup Sauerkraut 1/2 Cup Corned Beef

On one side of two slices of your bread, spread butter On the opposite side spread on 1 TBS 1000 island dressing 1 tsp. brown mustard Over the dressings arrange 2 slices swiss cheese the corned beef and sauerkraut

Top with diced pepperoncinis if you are using them Place the second slice of bread over the top *the buttered sides should be faced out for toasting* Heat a griddle or skillet

Toast each side of the sandwich until the are golden brown Use a spatula to carefully flip the sandwich for toasting the other side You can place a skillet lid over the top to help the cheese melt
