Begin by spraying a 9x13 baking dish with cooking oil Cut 1 large loaf French bread in half long wise and tear into large chunks  Lay the chunks into the pan bottom making a layer

Whisk together 3 Cups milk 6 large eggs 1/4 Cup maple syrup 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring 1 tsp. apple pie spice Pour over the layer of bread chunks in the baking dish Sprinkle 1 Tablespoon cinnamon over the top

Next, pour over the bread 3 Cups chopped apples (fresh or frozen-well drained) 3 Cups Blueberries (fresh or frozen) Push the apples and blueberries into the crevices of the bread chunks

Drop small chunks of butter over the top of the fruit Cover and store in the fridge until you are ready to bake This can be kept overnight for a wonderful holiday morning treat

Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour, until golden brown Whisk together 1 Cup powdered sugar 1 Tablespoon milk 1 tsp. vanilla Drizzle over the warm bread pudding for a delicious icing if desired
